Thanks guys. Interesting information. Assuming I draw in 2005 I'm going to hunt from 10/29 to 11/9 and come back over the week of Thanksgiving if I need to.

After that....most are gun Kills in mid to late november and on into december....no real time pattern, just a food and weather pattern.

Shredder,

I notice your Oct kills are almost all PM while Nov are almost all AM. Do you think that is a result of changes in your hunting habits or deer habits. Just curious.

most of my october kills were while I was in college and had afternnons off and my november kills were usually before I had to go to woek or on one of my days off or vacation.

I think this is pretty good info to keep track of, especially if you have a poor long term memory like I do.

Speaking just of bow kills, my most recent ones were;

October 31 morning hunt
November 8 afternoon hunt
November 18 afternoon hunt

(all differnet years, of course, and not in order of harvest year)

Ha, I remember starting this thread back when I was trying to nail down when to take my rut hunting trips. I settled on roughly November 1-November 10 and it paid off in 2005 and 2006.
