Has anyone planted Miscanthus this time of year (Summer)?

I have the opportunity to get some RWS G Miscanthus at a cheap price right now, but since the install will be done by others the cost will be high. I am not sure if i will be the one installing it next spring or not but there is a need for screening. This is central KS prarie country, to which has had great rainfall this month. Has anyone ever planted Miscanthus this time of year, or in the fall? I am obviously not worried about screen viability this yr- establishment/survival are my biggest concern. Any tips or input is appreciated. Thank you

If prep is done and rhizomes are still viable and not burning up in someone's barn right now, then you should be good. Just make sure you get them covered up and packed well incase the rain turns off.

They likely won't be a screen for 3+ yrs

I appreciate the input Snail. Ended up chatting with RWS, they gave me the "low odds" outlook. The more have sat with the idea, the more I'm past the luster of a good deal and moving into "next spring is far smarter". New Rhizomes, easier to work soil, etc.... I dont have enough money or time for another lesson learned right now
