Don't know the story on this deer except it's a breeder buck somewhere in Texas. Careful genetics planning and nutrition produces some awesome deer for those guys.........

What I see is that it appears the deer with the largest rack is also the younger and smaller buck in the group.

Wonder how many Texas ranches buy and release some of these "test tube" bucks to pump up their genetics???

Those are some incredible deer for sure but for some reason farm deer do not get me excited. Kind of like seeing a 600 lb black bear at the zoo and seeing a 300 lb bear cross the road in front of my truck. I'd rather see the 300 lber any day.

Pen raised or not, the fact that an animal can grow that much antler and in such a short time.......it boggles my mind. Guess thats why antlers are so interesting.

I tell yah what, pen raised or not, I guarantee you come shed season, even if I was in a pen and saw those laying on the ground, I would run just the same as I would out in the woods

I think I could get my climber up one of those posts in the back.

I found out a little more. He's located on an E Texas ranch. This fall he will be 3 1/2 years old. I'm sure the owner will be getting some good coin for the straws of that guy........

Kinda makes me wonder if that deer will be released in a bout 2-3 yrs and shot as a "wild" deer. Sometimes I wonder why in the past 5-6 yrs some of the biggest deer have been shot - pen raised till mature then released and shot as wild????

Not to start anything, just makes me wonder.

I think the rancher has named those 3 Jose Canseco, Raphael Palmeiro, and Barry Bonds.

If he had a forth big deer...then the last one's name would be Bret Farve.
