I am going to go on a weekend fishing trip in Minnesota this summer and I am looking at going to Elysian Lake. Anyone ever fished it or heard of it? Maybe know of a better lake in Southern Minnesota? I'm not wanting to travel to far north, its just going to be a 2 or 3 day trip. Any info would be great or any other spots that anyone could think of.

If you are going for 2 or 3 days I'd at least hget somewhere north of the Cities. Everything around there and south gets alot of pressure and about all you'll accomplish will be boat time. I'd recommend the Alexandria, Glenwood, Sauk Center areas just because its decent driving distance and pretty good fishing in most lakes.

Mille Lacs is where I'd be. It's an hour North of the Twin Cities.
