a nice ten point , unfortunate the way it went down, i cant believe if the deer started through the section, it never made it . was it wounded before?ive rode in combines and seen deer move in front of them, they get out of the way, was this a wounded bow kill that just didnt move?sad, cant say id be smiling, posing with that pic.

I'm pretty sure the deer would not have made it had we freed him. I looked at his hind two legs which were caught in the gathering chains and the only thing holding them together was a couple of strips of hide. Completely sawed off at the tarsel glands. It looked to me like he had been fighting it for sometime because he was wore out when i got there.

He was not injured in any physical way that i could tell either before running into the combine.
