Same email I got as well Ron. I emailed back and thanked him for his reply and update

The emails/letters do work. I know Rep. Bell personally and he is a great guy. We have talked about the legislative process on several different issues in the past and he has stated that he really likes to hear from constituents on all the issues.

I have also heard more than one legislator state that they ALWAYS appreciate a hand written note sent via old fashioned snail mail.
