Do you have your hunting bow all ready to go and want a good opportunity to make sure it's ready?
Afraid to go to a 3D shoot because you can't judge yardage and are afraid of losing arrows?
Always wanted to see if it's your shooting or your yardage judging that keeps you from hitting the 12?

Come to our Rangefinder Legal 3D shoot this Sunday, August 21 and shoot a full 40 target 3D with your rangefinder in hand without worries.

I roll with a rangefinder when I shoot 3D. Maybe I'm not a purist but in my mind it makes sense to know the distance before I shoot. I've not shot at a deer without knowing the distance since I first bought a rangefinder. In my opinion a 3D shoot without a rangefinder is a contest in judging yardage rather than shooting skills.

Isnt being able to properly estimate distance part of shooting skills?

Not with the ability to use rangefinders today. If you take a shot at an animal and make a bad hit on it because you were off on judging the distance does it make you feel better that at least you didn't use a rangefinder?

Im not saying it makes you less of a hunter because they use a range finder but it does make you a much more skilled shooter if you dont. but by all means these animals deserve every bit of technology to help with a quick more humane kill

Sometimes deer appear quickly in a spot you hadn't anticipated, or come in on you walking in or out when there is no time to get to a rangefinder. I think being able to quickly and accurately judge yardage in your head is an invaluable tool to a bowhunter. I have no problems with people using rangefinders to hunt when able but there is not always that option. If a deer stood broadside and your battery was dead in your rangefinder, would you pass the shot? Or would you wish you had the ability to judge the distance yourself?

I agree but unless I walk into the stand with a dead battery I have trees or noticeable weeds or patches of grass all pre ranged as soon as I get in the stand.
