I got permission from a friend to take a picture of a buck mount (I'll warn you, it's a hideously mounted head, not doing the amazing rack any justice at all) as long as I don't give its location. This deer has just been setting in an old hunting cabin for almost a decade now. I'll post the picture next week. It's a main frame eight point that grossed 191 and netted 184. Here's the crazy part -- the rack isn't over 18" wide and it's not terribly tall either. I've never seen a rack with as much mass and that includes everything I've seen in magazines and on video. My question is do any of you guys know of any absolutely huge racks that are lying around in some fella's barn -- you've asked about it and they don't think it's anything special, but they won't let you have it either! My guess is there is a world record out there somewhere in an attic or barn loft that will probably never be discovered.
