High gas prices/hunting

If the general public drives less because of high gas prices it will reduce the deer heard. Here's the equation:
LESS CARS = FEWER CAR/DEER ACCIDENTS = LESS DEER
Here's the Headline:

"Rifle Season Reduces Deer Collisions"

This summer Ive been riding my mt bike on most scouting trips. I hunt real close to town. If I want to scout in the morning I just camp out the night before. During the early season Im planning on riding my 4wheeler (its lisenced) Will do that untill My coffee freezes before I can drink it all. Ive got 2 stands set up about 40 miles away but they probably wont get much use. It may be about time I trade in my fullsize truck and get a toyota

My hunting won't change much, but my pocket book is going to hurt.

My wife just filled up her "Redneck Cadillac" Sububran. At the time a 48 gal extended range tank sounded like a good idea, but $92 bucks later I wonder what I was thinking. If the prices keep going up, $100+ trips to the pump won't be too far off.

Yikes Mole! I was just saying today at work that I dont miss the 42 gallon tank in my old Suburban. I got huffy 2 years ago when it cost $65 to fill it.
One thing about it though, its not like she is driving around alone in that bus. If anybody actually needs a Sub, it's you and your wife! For me, it was usually just me and the dog who got his exercise by running laps in the back.

They should rename it the "Chevrolet Valdez"

Gas prices can't stop posessed whitetail hunters. We just got back from an 1800 mile scouting trip to illinois. It cost us about $125.00 more than last year but from what we seen the extra cost is worth it. We seen some real pigs. Shedder, I know your not far away from where we were, things should be looking real good for you, good luck this year.
