Was watching a segment on last nights news concerning nitrates in corn. From what I gathered, the crops which are suffering from drought conditions pull large amounts of nitrates from the soil. The news story showed farmers having their corn tested and finding very high nitrate levels in approx. 50% of the samples. There was concern about this being passed on to their livestock, even to the point of being lethal. Kinda gives the impression other wildlife could be subjected to this also. Anyone have further insight?
