Hiking boot with recommended

Needing a new hiking boot. Just higher than the ankle, I think they call them mid ?

What's the iwt recommended boot these days? $150 price point be nice to be around

I have kennetrek & get em when go on sale. I used to buy keen & kennetrek literally gets me 4x longer use. Plus, Super comfy & way better support too.
Have heard great things on Irish setter above too.

Same here. I got ten years out of my last pair and now my son is wearing those!
 
I haven't worn Kenetrek or Irish Setters but I have owned a pair of Crispi's for about 6 years and really like them. The ones I have are more of a stiffer boot with a lot of support - more geared towards hunting in the mountains vs Iowa but they have been really good for me so far.
 
I have a pair of Zamberlan (Italian made) that are definitely quality and if you watch Midway for sales you may be able to get for a little more than your budget. Also have some Danner USA made that are great quality, I am partial to them as was my first pair of “good boots” from Scheels and lasted forever, but even on sale would be more than what you’re wanting to spend. The US made are of great quality and last, and way better than most foreign made stuff in my opinion.
 
Crispi are also Italian made. Some Danner boots are made in Oregon but some are manufactured in Vietnam and Cambodia. My last pair were garbage. Had two previous pairs that were great.
 
My brother swears by Kenetreks.. pretty sure he has the whole lineup. I’m too cheap I guess. Have never had a bad pair of irish setters tho

I'm a Crispi boot fan as well - used to buy "nice" hunting boots like Danner, LaCrosse, etc.... then got higher end boots and will never go back! Look for them on sale, can get a pair for under $300
