I always have good intentions but summer is so crazy at work i usually end up sleeping on weekends. I'm game to try a few though.
 
I whittled out and glued on the rest, then gave it three coats of tung oil, two nights ago I put the leather wrap on the handle, and tomorrow I have every intention of shooting it.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah they can crack. A co -worker of mine did everything right. Cut the wood , let it dry for a year, got the thing almost done ....and it split on him! Back to square one.
 
Having issues with handle comfort, should've filed it down more than I did. Other than that it shoots fine at about 10-15 yards, anything longer is not pretty.
