I have never taken anything with me to the stand other than my bow, horns, ezhanger and camcorder. When I get bored I just think about other places on the farm I hunt, where a treestand needs to be hung, you know that sort of thing. Then I videotape a lot of different things from does and bucks, to squirrels and yotes. I enjoy it while I can because I know January will be here no time.

I'm a pretty restless person. I do a lot of standing in the stand. I've been known to whittle a stick or two, listen to my MP3 player (ultra low volume) and maybe do a little dancing. On the really slow days, I do 1 of two things. Sit and wonder what is going on by the other stands I have set up, or play a couple disney tunes on the grunt tube. When you have kids, it's the Disney songs that stick with you the most, not AC/DC so much.
I'll be sure to let everybody know when I find out what tune draws in the big boys the best.

Man and I thought I was the only one that drove myself nuts like that.
I just watch what's going on because a big buck could be slipping almost out of sight and certainly out of hearing, I want to know where to move my stand next.
