Layers, layers, layers....
Also the layers don't help as much if you wear eight pairs of pants and eight shirts with one common seam (belt line) I alternate tucking in every other layer. shirt tucked in long johns, next shirt tucked in next layer. multiple pairs of socks get alternate tucks with my long johns too!
