How many Bikers Here?

Took these pics with my cell phone yesterday. Got up to 80 degrees yesterday and the same called for today. 20 bikes with riders all left our town yesterday and we put on nearly 200 miles. We rode from Boone to Bouton for bloody marys and then off to Des Moines to Daytonas and then all the way back north to a little town on the river called Lehigh. Had a blast!!! The new 2007 Streetglide with the 96 cubic inch bigbore and 6 speed tranny hauls butt. Coming home from Lehigh, I had to break away from the pack and run the bike up to 110 mph. It still had plenty and is a smooth as glass. My old 1997 Heritage Softail was lucky to get 110 with the wind at my back and going down a hilland I was also counting all the threads on the bolts hoping they would hold together.

The technology in the new Harleys is amazing compared to my old Heritage. Anybody else ride this weekend?

Took the kids to KC last week for springbreak. My older boy and I went to the H-D Factory down there and took a tour of the plant. It was about a 1 1/2 hr tour and we walked about a mile.Even if you don't own a Harley or a bike,it is neat to see the process to build one.The tour is free and kids have to be twelve or older.I have gone down to the open house they have in the fall but never on the tour.It is impresive to say the least.Went for a short putt last night, and rode to work today.Nice to get some wind in my face.

Fatboy, I have been meaning to take a tour but did not realize that they offered it in KC. We have a wedding to go down to there in April. Maybe we can squeeze it in. Thanks for the heads up. They make the sportsters there don't they?

No, I didn't make it out yesterday, but I rode it into work today.

First time out this year. Sure felt good!

They build the Sportster,Dyna and V-Rod.Go to H-D website and click on tours and go to the KC plant for more info.Tried to bring it over to this post but came up with errors.

Check out this video of a stuntguy on a Harley Sportster. He makes it look easy.

Can't say I have ever seen that before...but I guess I have never had any desire to do wheelies on a sportster. Impressive none the less.

Hope you had a great ride G6.Wanted to get a putt in myself, but my son had baseball games out of town all weekend.A couple of buddies left last week for Nevada for the Laughlin River Run,bur prior duties kept me home this year.Seems like not enough hours in the day.

Here is our latest toy. A honda Elite moped. I bought it for my 14 year old but he is already grounded from it. My wife has a blast with it.

Went to MN over the weekend. Had a buddys' daughter graduation party in the cities and from there we headed another 3 hrs NW to another buddys' place. He had a bunch of other bikers waiting for us and we commenced to ride another 100 miles and barhop till 1:00 am. We were woreout by the time we rode the 6 hrs straight home Sunday. The wind was really tiring Sunday. 890 total miles for the weekend. I averaged 85-90 and the Streetglide ran perfect. The new 96 cubic" Harley motor and 6 speed tranny really performed well. This bar in Deer Creek had some amazing wood working in it.

We stopped at Cabelas on the way up. Bargain cave had the same ole overly priced no great deal items for sale. I sure miss the outlet center they used to have. No predator camo or any open camo pattern clothing on the floor for sale. Just Mossy Oak blackout.
