I own 1 farm (120 acres) and then have access to a ton of family ground, like 3,000 acres. But it is a little different in SE Kansas of the 3,000 acres it is probably 90% tillable, very limited cover, very easy to over pressure, and don't get me started on the access with out bumping deer, it can be tough! So I really focus on my property(120) and then two of the family farms (300 acres). I live on my farm and of the other two, one is a mile away and the other is less than 5 miles.
Personally I think having too much ground can be a curse in disguise, since narrowing down to the 3 farms my success has really went up. I think it just takes time to learn a farm and know how deer utilize it, when I use to skip around I was just always chasing my tail, day late and a dollar short kind of thing.
