how'd you find Iowawhitetail????

i've often wondered how so many of us have found Iowawhitetail. my hats off to Ogz, i read over his shoulder for close to a year before i joined up.

what's your story??
 
I found it when I was doing searches on trail cams. I came across the site and just checked it out. I could tell that this was a quality site without all of the egos of other sites. I was very impressed and I've been back nearly everyday since.

Tony contacted me when he was just getting the site set up and asked if he could use some of my whitetail paintings for a 'new Iowa whitetail website' he was setting up.

I think I got sidetracked by Maggs or someone dropping a hint on the Bowsite BBS. Whatever the case, I was looking for a new home.

It was a link several years ago to the forum. I checked in often but never joined until last fall. Glad I did. Lots of great info passed around here, lots of years experience tied all into one site.
 
I was looking over MadisonB&C's shoulder and giving him a bad time for living on the puter. Now the Mrs gives me the bad time.

I was doing a search for articles about hunting mature bucks. I had way to much free time on my hands at work at that point. Now its a everyday struggle between work and this site.

Guess who usually wins.

ISHEDHUNT pointed me in the right direction. I lurked around for quite awhile before signing on. Good post Muddy.

Ghostie told me about it and checked it every day after that. Took me about four or five months to join. I use to check other sites for other information. Don't even bother now after I realized if theres any news or info to find, it'll be on here or I can just ask. You can also put some very sick and twisted images in a persons head, which makes it even more fun.

I heard about it from Tony at the first Iowa Deer Classic held at the convention center. In fact, Iowawhitetail.com was where I meet back up with IAdroptine, KANSAN, Travis and Northern Whitetails. We all used to visit a little shed hunting forum on exite.com some years back. Remember that site guys?
