How's the weather out there?

I see it's getting pretty crappy as far as road conditions up in the NW corner and down south of Des Moines.

Any first hand reports?
 
In Des Moines the wind is blowing like crazy and snowing pretty good. And really cold. When I went to the gym this morning at 4:15 it was 34 out and when I when I got to work at 6:45 it was 20. Only in Iowa can you have 54 one day and -5 for a low then next day.

Muddy, It's bad, real bad! Up here around Buena Vista / Pocahontas Countys. Kinda Reminds me of my trip to the Classic last year, Wowzer!

It was 50 degrees on Sunday here in North Dakota.

Today it is -21 degrees with a -51 degree wind chill factor.

Only in ND does it go from 50 above zero to 50 below zero in two days.

And I left my coat at the archery shop.... Andy you may be an excuse to skip physics today!!
 
I had to step outside for about five minutes of work here in Ames around 1130, and was dealt a huge slap in the face.

It seems to take a body a week or so to acclimate to the cold, and re-puss-ify in a day and a half of nice weather. Thanks to the warm weather, today feels like the worst day thus far...but the reality is it's not as bad as a week ago, but it's still nasty.

I'm ready for some green-up and some gobbling.
 
Just in from haying cattle. Couldn't see 200 yrds on a open river bottom blowing like crazy ! Good night to stay in . It will be ugly tonight if this keeps up !

Beautiful here. Just got home Friday from IA business. Hot air balloons are up all over the city of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.
 
California it is about 60 degrees and in Lake Tahoe it was blizzard conditions all the way there and back, but skiiing was nice, if only I was better at it.

Nothing like being stuck on a 60,000 acre base and it is all open and only to military personnel.....AWESOME weather!
