Find a pro shop and talk to them. You can usually find a good used trad bow in that price range.

I see decent older bows on craigslist all the time not bringin much money. You got a while before hunting season. I would save up a little more and then look.

You should save up $300-400 and then start looking around. Not trying to bring you down but its hard to find a dozen arrows for $100....
