Hunt Of A Lifetime raffle tickets!

I will have 40 tickets for sale for the upcoming 90 day raffle. Even though the raffle does not start until February 1, I am told tickets are usually sold out by late September.

Hunt Of A Lifetime is a nonprofit organization with a mission to grant hunting and fishing adventures and dreams for children age 21 and under, who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. A major fundraiser is their yearly 90 day raffle that offers quality guns, Honda 4X4's, and cash prizes including the final days drawing for $10,000!

Tickets are $40 and there will be 5,000 tickets sold. You must be 18 years or older to enter. The Pennsylvania Big Four Lottery numbers determine the daily winners.

You can go to the above link to check out the gun list and cash prizes being offered. There are links on the websight to learn more about HOAL, read some articles, and see some examples of youth hunters who have had their wishes granted.

If I am able to sell the 40 tickets, I am told I can request more if available. If you notice on last year's list of winners, there are no names listed from Iowa. Hopefully next year we will see some Iowans or some Iowa Whitetailers have their names listed as prize winners!

Please let me know if you want a ticket ( and how many) by sending me a PM. This way I can get a better idea of how many tickets are remaining. Then send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Steve Finney

Make the check or money order ($40 per ticket) payable to: Hunt Of A Lifetime, Inc.

I know of at least two Iowa youths that have had their dream hunts granted through Hunt Of A Lifetime. The more exposure this organization gets in Iowa and the midwest, the greater the chance is that a youth will get signed up for the opportunity of a wish coming true.

The founder, Tina Mattison, was at PheasantFest in D.M. early this year. As I was discussing the possibility of doing some fundraising for HOAL in Iowa, she said her main focus was to get youth signed up for the possibility of a dream hunt or fishing trip. As she put it, the money will come one way or the other, so far it always has. Get the kids signed up and we will go from there. This organization is completly ran through volunteers except for one parttime secretary. The money goes straight to the kids.

If you have an open spot in your gun cabinet, room in the garage for a Honda wheeler, or could use 10G to go towards gas money

, give it a shot! But please, even if you are not interested let a hunting buddy or a co-worker know about this chance to win a great prize and better yet, help a worthy cause.
