Vinton Man Injured While Hunting on Saturday
DES MOINES - A Vinton man was injured Saturday while hunting deer southwest of Otley in Marion County.
Ryan D. Higdon, 34, was re-holstering a handgun when the pistol discharged hitting him in the lower leg at approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday. He was transported by ambulance to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
