I was thinking about hunting with my buddy in tenn next year for a week, only because we have not seen each other in few years and it would be good to get together with him and just hang out again, we had lots of fun as kids and always hunted together, just curious what kind of out of state experiences have others had, good or bad list them so I can get a ideal of what I may expect. also what other states do or have members hunted and how did ya do?
Thanks
W.T

Some states laws vary from your home state...just make sure you are up to speed on all regulations and then enjoy yourself

yes still need to research the laws, but he said I can get Non Resident tags with no problem. I never have hunted out of state and was hoping for some ideals of what to expect.

A different view than your current stand I would bet....need to talk to your buddy about the ground you will be hunting and what to expect from that property. Your question is vague with the request of a specific answer

You would know better than me about what to expect. I'm guessing your buddy has lived there a while and is almost acting like a guide. All depends on how well he hunts is my guess.

That said, I had a good experience on an out of state hunt visiting a friend's brother in northern Minnesota. My friend and his brother knew the area and had stands hung.

I've only been out of state three times.

I actually made a trip to TN this year over Thanksgiving and hunted. The day I got there was the start of their rifle/shotgun season. Damn rednecks. They don't care too much about tresspassing or other hunters. They even used dogs to heard and drive the deer to them. (which is illegal)
If you hunt in TN, I would get a permit to hunt on Fort Campbell.
