Hunting My Land- Work it off- 160 ACRES, Lee Co.

Ok, I know leasing is a contraversial topic. I realize that & do not want a debate here. I would be willing to let 1, possibly 2 guys hunt my 160 acres of timber in Lee county in exchange for a few weekends of work. People always complain about paying to "lease" land and feel that it's "OK" to work for permission....

I have $20,000 worth of projects & NO TIME to either hunt it OR do all the projects next spring. I have projects next spring & lots of big/expensive ones. I have so much money to spend on the projects and more than I can handle. I also have so much in my to-do list that I won't even have time to hunt it this fall except maybe once or twice.

*The only thing is- I will try and lease this to pay some of the project bills for the next few weeks. If in say, three weeks I don't have it leased up- I sure would be open to letting you have at it for the season in exchange for help on my place. Please don't put out your beliefs on leasing, I am trying to do something good here by both improving land while giving someone the opportunity to manage my place for exchange of helping me out WHICH tons of guys seem more than willing to do and plead their cases of how hard it is to find great places in exchange for a helping hand- here's your chance. I'll post this in the classifieds section- I realize this is a odd proposition so I'll see if I can post it correctly. I guess check out the classifieds BUT I thought I'd post something to bring attention to it. Thanks!

I think that's a great opportunity and if I wasn't so far away I would jump on it. What kind of work do you have in mind? Could it be done in a week's vacation?

Yes, for sure. I am open to the work, I am overwhelmed with tree plantings, making a shed, native grasses, Timber Stand Improvement, etc, etc, etc. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

i would be all over that if i lived closer.....

have you had any bites yet?

id definately be interested....

i hate Dirty Dodge....

Just put this up a couple minutes ago. I would imagine if the right person sees this- i will be getting some fast emails. I know this is a great opportunity. Most years in the past I was on the other side of this issue trying to find ANYWHERE to hunt I could!!! *I'd hunt tiny draws IF I could get permission in the past- THIS land is top notch giant timber!!!! Looking for the right person for this (integrity, respectful, giant buck hunter, responsible, etc.). /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Where at in Lee County? I just moved out of Burlinton to Nauvoo, Illinois. Just across the river. 10 minutes from Fort Madison. "Lee county". My hunting buddy lives in Wever, Iowa. "Lee County". I wouldnt be able to buck hunt but i wouldnt mind taking a doe or two.

What kind of work?

More info would be great. I know quite a few hard working guys. Also love to hunt who would jump on it. All in Lee county.

I am from Lee county and know a guy looking for a piece for him and his son. Send me you number and I'll have him call you.

ahhhh i see where its at now after looking at your webpage. I put by boat in down at that access ramp last weekend while catfishing. Seen all those no trespassing signs posted up. What a small world this is! My buddy lives right up on the bluff. Not far from there.
