Does anyone know where i can find a hunting video with people doings drives? Driving deer to people and deer getting shot while on the run. Ive watched alot of good hunting videos but ive never seen any that style.

Its interesting you bring this topic up. We filmed with a shotgun hunting group last year. We got 4 bucks filmed on the harvest last year including one in the high 160's. We want to do the same thing again this year. Its really cool non stop action. Dont know why others dont do it. I do know that you need a shotgun tag to even be filming with the group though. Never thought of publishing it though.

I grew up pushing deer for a big group of 20-30 people in West Central Illinois. I did it from when i was 8 to probably 13. Never was allowed to carry a gun but i didnt care it was a BLAST. I had to get straight A's to be able to hunt the first day of shotgun season since it was a school day and i made sure i met that goal. We pushed several different properties all day. Had a big lunch and dinner. Alot of fun walking through the woods and hearing shots fired all around you. Hopefully someone makes a video someday that would be awesome!
I know alot of people are against pushing deer. I agree that its less challenging but shooting a deer running a full speed would also be tough. I never did get a chance to carry a gun and now the group of guys have split up and the properties have been leased out. Figures. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I have only seen one. It was a show and it wasnt a deer hunting show it was a coyote hunting show. It had been filmed for deer hunting Im guessing but used it for the other.
They were driving deer the guide pushing some little draw and a coyote came running by and guy whacked it with the bow.
Sorry I cant tell you anymore. I just know its not that common.

Ive seen the Wensel boys do deer drives on a video with a bow, it was fun to watch. I'm sure if you do a search or email them they can tell you which one it was. I thought it was cool and maybe you're right it would make a good video for all the guys that gun hunt and also bowhunt.
