Do have a great example of one that I have been watching for 3 years now that after he sheds (with luck I'll get one more pic) will visually answer the question on how big can they get between 2.5-4.5! If you let them but.... Also have one that we got a photo at end of gun season last year and then heard of a "big deer" being shot at by a party at 100-150 yards on the adjacent property but swore they missed. Not sure obviously but we found him dead in March in my bedding area which we only enter 1x per year to shed hunt. I'll post those as well..just need to get a pic of the rack. So, if you have less than 500 acres..even with bedding areas and sanctuaries (the most important piece in my opinion) passing a deer doesn't guarantee that he'll live. BUT...shoot him and he has ZERO chance. Tough calls sometimes......
