Here are some pics of various hybrid oaks in their first growing season.

First 2 pics are either WhitexEnglish or Sauls Oaks.

They are putting on some excellent growth! One of these days your going to have acorns and...deer, coming out your ears! ;):D:way:

We're excited to order some oaks and norway spruce! Stuff like this is just as fun as deer hunting...I'd dare to say they are equally enjoyable!

Awesome, the deer will love em'! Can't wait to get to planting season again...only a few more months!

Exactly!!! I am getting everything ready for the fall plantings by keeping the areas sprayed to keep the weeds down and to not reseed. I take 15-30 minutes to plant a few on my way in and out of the deer stand each time so I can plant in my hunting areas in the fall without extra disturbances.

I fell the same way, I enjoy increasing the habitat as much as hunting and seeing the wildlife prosper because of it.

I have planted many a seedling and realized finally that just cause you plant a seedling does not mean that it will just take off...site location and soils are the key to planting seedlings and not just spinning your wheels planting the right tree you want in the wrong location. :way:
