I have another question?

Being new to bow hunting I have another stupid question about stuff.

Is it common to have the nocks come off your arrows??

I've had 3 or four arrows that they came off when I take them off the string. Now I push them off with my thumb and resolved that little problem. Are they glued into place or pressed in?

most carbon/graphite arrows have push in knocks. some of my arrows lose knocks when i pop them off the string and some do not. it's irritating but you'll have to live with it.

Moose, I am always replacing nocks when shootin my longbow. Usually it's the ones already in the target gettin nocked of by my other arrows, hehehehe!

Moose, you could go to a Super/Uni Nock and avoid that problem. A little costy though. Otherwise try a dab of Gorilla glue....but that removes the ability to "fine tune". I noticed it happened more on the extremely cold days than anytime else.

Yeh, it is a little irritating but it's not a big deal. Biggest thing is if I was doing sumthing wrong to have them come off occasionally.

My nocks are not glued in either. That way you can turn them to get the proper fletching clearance for your rest. I usually use my thumb to push them off the string because it is quiter and that way you don't have to worry about them coming off. Usually it only happens in the cold when materials contract - making your nocks fit a bit looser.

dblmainbeam is right on. The Gold Tip shafts and components come with nocks that have a small set screw. Once you've positioned your nock where you want it, tighten with allen wrench and they will not come off. I use to glue my old Easton nocks in place. Something to think about if you aren't shooting Gold Tip.

If you are going to glue your nocks in DO NOT USE ANY GLUE OTHER THAN RUBBER CEMENT. Other glues may have ingredients that will attack the plastic in the nock and make it brittle.
