To make a long story short, I missed a monster buck

In my stand I have always had my seat facings north, Saturday I went out and made a new seat so I could face south, didn’t see a thing all day Saturday, the day was coming to a end so I put my bow down, and stand up, only to be face to face with a monster buck, so by the time I pick my bow back up, he still has not moved, tell the sound of my arrow falling of its rest and banging to the ground next thing I know he was gone
No Idea how big, but he was big

Missing a deer with an arrow happens to just about everyone who has hunted for any length of time.

While I was hunting from the ground last Monday evening. I missed a really big 8 point 150+. He can in from an unexpected direction and was about to enter my down wind scent. When I saw him I thought he was further out than he actually was. I was in a hurry to make the shot before he winded me thus I rushed it. I watched my arrow fly just over his back. I would not be surprised if the vanes touched him, it was that close to being a bad shot. The arrow was retrieved and there were no signs of a hit on it. I am very thankful that I totally missed him.
