I'd Say He's Mature

Well I would like your guys thoughts on my situation. I bought a farm this summer and it is about half timber half crp. There is a 12 acre chunk of timber that is really thick and wooly and just a mess to get into. I figured I would leave that as my sanctuary and hunt the edges and the rest of the farm. After a dissapointing november and not getting a lot of big bucks on trail camera or even seeing many I decided to go in about noon one day and hang a camera in the 12 acre chunk just to see what I was missing. The second night this guy strolled by. Now my question is do I go with my idea of having a sanctuary and stay out of it or do I get in there and try to kill this guy? I think he has seen better years.

Oh my! He IS an old grizzled warrior! He's still fighting, look at the spots tore up on his back. I don't think I've ever seen a buck that old ALIVE! He may be a tough one to get IMHO.

I don't think he'll be around much longer no matter what happens. I'd try and go after him.

I agree that he's an old deer, headed down hill soon. I would harvest him w/ out hesitation. Nice rack :way:
