......without my Garmin. My toy has been dying a slow death until Friday when it would no longer power up. Good thing it has a one year warranty. I bought it on the way home from the IBA Banquet/Classic. I can't remember if IBA gave everybody a coupon, but I know CamoMan won coupons for our table.

I made my first contact with Garmin tech support this AM via Email. I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes. My main concern is the unit is no longer in production so what happens if they can't fix it? I doubt the mapping software I purchased will work with any of their newer products.

Like I said, I'll keep you posted. GPS has been a popular thread, and Garmin isn't putting money into my retirement (great line Rack) so I won't be a homer for Garmin.

Until I get a new GPS or Garmin fixes mine, if you see my truck, or myself, wondering aimlessly, my wife would appreciate it if you pointed me twords home. Hey, wait a minute, do you suppose she deliberatety sabotaged my Garmin so I wouldn't find my way home? Or was it the cats? Damn things anyway.

Just an update, I sent the original Email on the 29th, they sent a reply with a return authorization number that night. I didn't check my email until this afternoon. They say once they receive my unit they will have it back to me in 10-14 business days. So far so good, but it would have been better if it didn't go "Tango Uniform" in the first place.

I'm interested to see how this all works out.

"Stuff happens"...but how a company deals with it makes a huge difference.

May not want to tell your wife when you get it back though...

Not that I would EVER do this, if the cat is ever outside, put a few kitty treats behind your car tire. I think you can figure out the rest of it. As for the wife, tell her you thought you saw a diamond behind the car tire.

We've had this cat for 3 days now, and I'm going nuts with it around. Its always running around, tryin to play with everything that moves, (easy with the comments) tryin to sleep on my chest, tail in my face, I HATE CATS. ISN'T DITCH TIGER SEASON IN ALL YEAR

It kinda goes with the old saying, a dog sits on your lap for companionship, a cat sits on your lap becasue its the warmest place in the house. A dog rubs your leg for companionship and a cat rubs your leg becasue its trying to shed, especially if I'm wearing my uniform.

A dog is loyal because you are his master, a cat thinks you should be loyal because it is the master. Ok were way off the GPS.
