Statistic: During Iowa's first spring turkey season in 1974, 283 hunters shot 102 turkeys. During the 2001 spring season, 47,523 hunters harvested 20,478 turkeys. (Source IDNR)

Where we hunt in the brushy creek area and south there dosent seem to be as many as there was say 8 or 10 year's ago,I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this or is it just me,and the one's that are there are pretty tough bird's to harvest.
We are very lucky to have the amount of bird's we have and I geuss I'm would complain if you hung me with a new rope.The I.D.N.R has done an outstanding job with our natural resource's as has the N.W.T.F on a state and national level.Thank's to all who are member's of the N.W.T.F and help give something back instead of just taking.
