Iowa Cell Camera rules

The interesting part of a lot of comments I have read, “ put it on cell company” “fine the cell company if dumps any time other than midnight” “ai can choose what pics to send”… This is not a cell cam company problem or a cell carrier company problem. If Iowa outlaws cell cams at any phase, location or situation it is on the user/hunter to abide by the law. The comments above would be like fining Winchester because they make center fire rifles and necked down cartridges, not illegal but can’t be used for deer in Iowa. Cell cams are banned during hunting seasons in some states but it is not on the manufacturers or cell companies to make us all abide by the law in Iowa. That’d be like fining an automobile manufacturer for making a vehicle that can exceed 70 mph in Iowa. There are several laws that affect what people can do on private land that are not wildlife related. Can’t shoot someone because you feel like it, can’t smoke weed or do drugs on your own property, can’t use illegal herbicides or off label herbicides, etc. The law is the law and if DNR or legislature makes cell cams illegal then we are obligated to follow the law or run the chance to be fined. Tell me how cell cams with real time pictures sent to your phone is any different than your hunting buddy hollering at you on a two way radio to tell you a deer is headed your way pretty sure the electronic devices are illegal for a reason and cell cams 100% influence where, when and how we hunt.

I see what you mean, but give me some examples that arent related to game animals?
One real quick one is that we are not allowed to use rifles to shoot deer in say November, yet a LO can use the same rifle at the same time to shoot a groundhog or coyote, etc. One can also set traps on their own land, but...only during the permitted trapping season, etc.
