Fair enough

So I can get my sponsors to fund my private deer farm or the government programs via tax payer dollars. Most of the trees, ponds cost etc... were paid for by CRP, RIM, wetland restoration and USFW.

Living in a glass house, I shouldn’t throw stones.

All I can add is that if someone buys 20 acres they can look into CRP at the taxpayer's expense (or choose not to), inviting kids to hunt (or choose not to), call for coyotes day and night (or not), etc etc. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Be your own boss. All the guys who like throwing around words like "horn porn" seem like the same guys who may weasel into a farm for hunting and that's it.
I do not follow you... sponsors?
Since this conversation has been steered here, time to kick another hornets nest...
If tax dollars pay for habitat improvement on private property, those improvements should be accessible to the public. (Example: If tax dollars pay for a pond to be constructed or fixed on your private property, then the general tax paying public should have free access to fish and swim in it, etc.) If you don't want to give the public access to your private property, then refuse tax dollars and solely pay for it out of your own pocket.

Fair enough...but I do have one more offense to confess...I am getting ready to put up several more wood duck houses soon AND I will also be polluting some of the neighbors with these "duck farms" as I am also making some extras for my neighbors to put up too. I sure hope that whatever kid shoots a wood duck or two this fall will be OK with them having been "farmed".

Why don’t you go buy a piece and take advantage of the program yourself instead of mooching from people who do pay. Trump 2020
Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. There’s many programs we all pay for as citizens, however you must qualify. In this case you need to own property to implement and enjoy the wildlife benefits of crp.
There are countless government incentive and supported programs that nearly everyone engages whether you’re a homeowner, farmer, business owner, citizen, rec ground owner, and so on. By your standard you would be able to access any piece of property you wish due to tax dollar association???
I own property. If tax dollars paid to build a pond on my private property, the public should have access to it. I should not freely have access to any private property that I wish to stroll through, but if the county/state pays to have a pond constructed on your private property, yes, that pond should be accessible to me and anyone else who pays taxes in that county/state. The private property owner should have to choose. Accept free tax $ with public access strings attached, or pay out of pocket. Absolutely.

Then we would have very few ponds and/or CRP. It’s called incentives... ? If you get a mortgage tax deduction on your house, do you have to allow the public to use a bedroom?
Call PF and DU and tell them your concerns about habitat being paid for by tax dollars.
