Iowa DNR Funding

Haha, whatever.... All you guys gripe and complain about the good possibility of more NR hunters and NR lo getting more access, but a partial solution is available thru SF. And you still whine?? What gives??? There is just no pleasing most of you. You'll be the ones out in the cold with no place to hunt at this rate and you'll have no excuse cuz you rejected all the solutions. Change is coming no matter what. I can't say what kind of change for sure, but it's gonna happen no matter what you whine about on the Internet. I sure hope we can maintain what we have..... SF is a way for that to happen, and it's not free. I for one am proud to give a portion of my tax increase to the cause.

..

100% agree!

Thomas,
I will never be out of a place to hunt and who are you to say that SF is a partial solution?

I am not against the nrlo. I am against the effect.

We are one of the highest taxed states in the United States. Everyones solution when they think they need something is to put a local option sales tax. That pisses me off to no end. Move money from projects that are not working and use that money. I'm sick of the waste.

We are in a world of hurt if the majority starts to believe more/higher taxes are just business as usual.

:way:

A local option sales tax was pushed on us with the statement that it would be used to protect fragile eco-systems and prevent future flooding (which I never bought that argument). The board in control is buying a strip of land to Kent Park so it can be paved for a bike path. Nothing preserves nature like asphalt!!! :thrwrck:

Iowa City just raised property taxes because the tax and spend liberals can't figure out how to cut a budget. They still let a policeman and a firefighter go, but are buying parks and spending money on public "art" while they try to figure out if they can become a "sanctuary city" (illegal aliens could not be touched by police, and would get all the benefits available to citizens, WTF?!). Yes, I can move out of Iowa City (Johnson County), but this trend is happening on the national level.:(
