Did everyone get a Iowa Sportsman in your mailbox this week? I guess my son got one and it's labeled Sample Issue. I know it's been around a year or two but since it is Iowa based I want to support. It has some October whitetail articles so it makes sense to me. Here is the web address if you want more info, www.iowasportsman.com and I hope enjoy!

The magazine is Ok and with it being Iowa based it does deserve our support, however the website is another story!
 
This is what they need, your input, if there going to do it, do it right! I agree, lets help them sharpen it up.

No one has a Bulletin Board like our website here so we are spoiled.

There is no helping that website out, get on the first page and read just one of the topics. The site "use" to have some top notch guys who would post some unbelievable stories and start threads however as many online forums go the "online know-it-alls" took over and ruined it. The site needs to be gone! :way:

I'm also not sure where your getting your information from. The website has been around for a long time, it just changed names. Use to be Iowaoutdoors.org now its Iowasportsman. I believe its still the same guys running it out of fort dodge (which that town should tell the entire story itself)

Appreciate the update, I figured you guys would know the history. They will be reading your input and I suspect they will change or go away.

Fort Dodge Dodgers use to come down and wrestle, always tough but they had a few bumps and bruises of their own. Fear no one, respect everyone.

Money is in the paper issue and the advertising. I actually think the same way about North American Whitetail. Never on the website!
 
Agree.. couldn't stand that forum.. everything was s bi***fest

The magazine on the other hand could use some improvement, but no complaints. Most could.

Magazine is OK but the website is "troll central"... :thrwrck:I read it once in a while if my blood pressure gets too low. ;)
 
I get the magazine and it's not bad honestly.

There are some really good members on the forum, specifically regarding cat fishing and predator hunting. Those that frequent the site know the members I'm mentioning. But there's way too many arm chair sportsmen there asking for the next best hunting & fishing spot.

There was a post on there a few months back about the cat fishing on Coralville. The fishing pressure increased like crazy on the reservoir for a couple weeks, then died off. Of course more threads popped up asking about the fishing. Seems like there are few out on that site that are actually in the outdoors, all you hear is request posts.
