Brrrrr.... I was planning on driving down to Washington County again, and braving the conditions. Advice?

I found this online
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Barometric pressure has a major impact on whitetail deer movement. Normally, one observes whitetail deer at dawn and dusk. At dawn, deer feed on their way to their bedding areas. At dusk, deer normally awake and start feeding. A good cold front will change this normal whitetail deer behavior. Whitetail deer are triggered into heavy feeding patterns before storms, when the barometer is falling rapidly.

A rapidly falling barometer is the perfect time to go whitetail deer hunting. When a cold front is inbound, the barometer will fall steadily. This is the time when whitetail deer will feed earlier than normal. Instead of coming out at dusk, they will be out a few hours early. This is the time when you can see the biggest and best deer browsing around in broad daylight.</div></div>

Last night I saw 15 deer out feeding on my way home (about 1/4 mile from my house).

Get permission on that ground 1/4 mile from your house... save the gas and drive time.

the deer are hitting the fields hard right now. I would go hunting. It should be no problem to lay a few down in the evening. That is if you can get past the crunchy snow. It made it fairly tough last weekend, but we managed to shoot 3 the first night.

They are out in DROVES!!! I saw 22 deer on my way home last night. All of these deer are within 2 blocks of my house. How many deer are in a square mile in my area /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

5 of them by the neigbors house

A little further down the road, we catch these 3 running

These 3 were under an oak tree eating something:

And 9 of them out eating in my neighbors field

Here's where I saw the deer on the map, my house is the red star

-4F Saturday, and I was out in it 12 hours /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Deer seem like they were uneffected by the temperature. I missed 50 yard shot at a doe, but I made up for it by getting this one on camera (from my car from the road, about 1000 yards up in the hill)

I'll be out there Sunday, they are saying -15F.... brrrr
