i am buying farm and will need transportation around farm i am considering buying a old lifted jeep with a winch instead of a 4 wheeler or gas cart(gator) what would be better all around any thoughts?

if it were me, I would buy a 4x4 4 wheeler. They can go anywhere the jeep can't. That is just my thoughts. A UTV would be alright to but I would still prefer a 4-wheeler.

What's gonna be the main purpose for your rig? If you're going to be using it to mostly hunt with I'd strongly suggest one of the electric buggies. If it will be used mostly for farm work duties I'd suggest one of the gas side by sides. I've owned 2 jeeps, 2 yamaha rhinos, a badboy buggy, a stealth electric buggy, and numerous 4 wheelers. For work and play the rhino was my favorite. For hunting the stealth is the only way to go. I still own the stealth and a 4wheeler. Just my opinion. Hope this helps bud. Congrats on your farm purchase

suzuki sidekick or geo tracker... goes bout anywhere a 4wheeler will and normally a little cheaper not to mention can keep you dry and cool or warm.

How much you wanna spend? And you want something newer or used. I mean u could be talking $1000 all the way to $10000 obviously.

I like my Gator more than my 4 wheeler I had, has seats, bed for supplies, etc. Down the road from me, you can get these Cub Cadet UTV's for 9k new where a new 4 wheeler is right around 6k-ish. Of course used is gonna be cheaper. Yeah, those electric buggies seem cool too BUT I don't know as much about them.

you can find Jeep grand cherokees with ac, all the works for 1500 if you're cool with one that's a bit older. Has more room than regular jeep and actually pry cheaper BUT not quite as good off road and not quite as cool.

On the low/cheap end of the scale you can get electric or gas golf carts all day long for $1000-1500.

I'd suggest one of these! Actually, you'd probably be better off with a four wheeler, but if you want to take something to Colorado too, get a jeep!!:way:
