I recently noticed Jim Shockey is doing advertisements for TC, I thought he only hunted with Knight muzzleloaders? Anyone know anything about this?

About time he wised up.

Mr. Shockey made the switch to T/C several months ago. The first time that I noticed the switch was in an issue in NAW magazine.

I don't know the particulars but I assume that it was for financial reasons.

He also endorses American Pioneer Powder, which is completely worthless... It's all about $$$. At some point you would think your reputation, dignity and sincerity to broadcast to your fans reliable hunting gear would overtake the greed... but you'd be wrong

Why is it that everyone in Iowa likes to shoot knights? I have had a knight and now i have 2 T/C. It is with everything it is preference. There are suttle differences in the the T/C and Knights and the Knights are overrated. Just because a Knight took down the record buck with a horrible shot i might add, was it the gun or the hunter? It always comes down who is going to pay more, I would certainly take the money that could by me more land if i wanted it.

Knights deliver unparalled accuracy, in my opinion. Sub-inch groups at 100 yds are very attainable. I've yet to experience this with any other muzzleloader... but then I bought the best to begin with, and have only seen the plight of other less fortunate souls struggling, trying to achieve the same level of accuracy

You mention you bought a Knight, then contradict this by saying you bought the best.

[/ QUOTE ] I have owned a lot of TC's and none ever shot as good as my Knight did on it's worst day unless they have improved a 100 percent since I bought mine. I'm not going to buy a TC to find out. BTW everyone was joking around about who's gun was better and you won't buy much land for the price difference unless you plan on fitting it in a Baggie.
