Kansas Bow tag

Iowa1

New Member
I thought I would ask this here first since I know there are quite a few people form Kansas on here. I drew a Kansas bow tag this year for zone A3, and recieved two tags. They came with a certificate to tranfer them to another party. Both are identical, and say that they are good for Zones A3 and Zone A19.

What's the deal?

It means that you got one tag too many. And since you can only use one, PM me and I'll forward my address to you so you can mail the 2nd to me.

lol

The unit that you selected was A3 and it is in the north central part of the state. We also have a unit called A19 which is essentially the corridor between Topeka and Kansas City. This is where the highest density of human population is and consequently there is a lot of deer/car collisions in this area and the department of wildlife and parks created this unit to help control the deer population. I did not know this but evidently when you purchase an out of state tag you automatically get one for A19.

The question I have for you is do you have 2 separate tags??? Or, are they valid for both units. I do know that in Kansas you can only get 1 antlered deer tag no matter who you are or no matter what equipment you use to harvest your deer....

Mark...

That is what is confusing to me. I did get two separate but identical tags. They are both good for A3 and for A19.

It appears this would allow me two bucks from either zone or one from each.

The weird thing is that they came with a sheet that explains how to tranfer (sell) them to another person.
