Kansas City Metro Monster

I don't know this guy, but his story and pics were in the K.C. Star this week, so I feel it's OK to post the pics here.

This buck was taken earlier in the week near Tonganoxie, Ks., which is on the western outskirts of the metro area. He showed up at Cabela's I think on Tues. to have it entered in the big buck contest. Cabela's green scored it at 251". Looks like the right side has double mains. Kansas can grow 'em too.

Awesome deer. Not to take anything away from the deer or the hunter but I sure hope he gave more respect to the deer with better pictures than those.

GOOO!!! That's a hog.

moosehunter...looks like those were the pics taken at Cabelas by a newspaper photographer.

I have also heard that it was measured at the taxidermist by someone who knew what they were doing and it scored 215. Either way it is a dandy.

How do you score a deer with double main beams, just added them together?

I was actually lucky enough to be at Cabelas when this deer was brought in. You've never seen word spread through a store so fast. That place was emptied out in about 5 min. to look at that buck
