Kansas Rio Gobbler Hunt 2008

Today a motley crew of Iowawhitetailers are Kansas bound. This morning Shrek1 met the Bonker and they picked up Vman on the way. In about an hour GoldTip, myself, and Critter will be piling nearly 700 lbs. of man- and who knows how much more in gear- into a Ford Focus and we will be departing as well. We will be meeting BlueRibbon1 and his buddy Justin down there and we will pursue the ever-so-elusive tom gobbler of the Rio Grande sub-species.

I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures and posts of big birds and good times when we return on Sunday/Monday. Unless we get skunked then we will just post drunk pictures.
