The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had not shown up for
work or
phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main
computers, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a
child's whisper.

"Hello."

"Is your daddy home?" he asked.

"Yes," whispered the small voice.

May I talk with him?"

The child whispered, "No."

Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is
your Mommy there?"

"Yes."

"May I talk with her?"

Again the small voice whispered, "No."

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message,
the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?"

"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman"

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the
boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"

"No, he's busy", whispered the child.

"Busy doing what?"

"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman," came the whispered
answer.

Growing more worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter
through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?"

"A helicopter" answered the whispering voice.

"What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly
apprehensive.

Again, whispering, the child answered, "The search team just
landed the helicopter."

Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What
are they searching for?"

Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle:
"ME."

Um yeah...that avatar is awesome. I'm logging in every day just to see your avatars...mmmm...those little strings could be removed so easily...

You just can't get away from smut on the internet. Why can't we keep this one clean? Some of use have kids looking over our shoulder. Let's keep the avatars clean. This is a site about whitetails lets keep it that way. Go to a site that you know will fill your needs.

Click on my name, scroll down, lower right hand side click on ignor this user. Fixed, now you'll never have to see another.
Hope you do the same with the TV, Radio, and home school them youngens cuz they're sure seeing and hearing a lot worse from those than they'll ever see in my avatars.

I hear what you’re saying about using the ignore feature and all, but I’ve been a member of this site for a long time and it’s always been pretty family oriented. Not to say we don’t have our fun here.

I know they're all in fun, but the thing that concerns me about the boobie avatars is how it makes the site look to people browsing the forums who haven’t registered yet - especially girls interested in hunting, who probably wouldn’t feel very welcome. As for myself, if this had been the norm back when I found this site, I’m not sure I would have joined, and I’m not politically correct by any means. This is an awesome website and I’ve made a lot of good friends here, learned a lot and have become a better hunter because of it. I hope everyone who visits will always feel welcome. Just something to think about.

Love you guys!

OK Kat your not playing fair, being all sweet and all.

I reserve my opinion on this matter.

Not to beat a dead dog, but....I too have grown tired of "fast forwarding" past some of the avatars so my kids don't ask questions. I agree that my children will someday be exposed these things at school, radio, etc. but I plan to control their exposure for as long as possible. I have a 4 year old who thinks that hunting is great! This site has always been one that I could visit without concern. Let's strive to keep it that way.

Keep it hunting related and clean and you can rest assured that it probably won't offend anyone.

Let's get back to the hunting talk!!!

Heck, I don't mind beating a dead dog. Also, I do want to say that although this post went a different direction . . . I did like the joke - very funny. Anyway, I'm with Kat and Bowman - I appreciate the larger effort to keep the boobs, bare butts, and racy comments out of these forums. I'm not talking about censorship . . just restraint. For everything, there is a place. This is a place for hunting . . and the occasional bizarre non-hunting story. . . oh yea - can't forget the Iowa-ISU-UNI brawls. Those are kinda fun. My thoughts: keep it fun, and keep it clean.
