Jonny and i had an incredible weekend turkey hunting. we sat in the same field in a blind dawn till dark for two solid days and hardly went an hour with out seeing or hearing birds! unbelievable to say the least!

This weekend was particularly important to us as we just recently found that this land is being sold and this would be our last go-round. so it would be nice for us both to tag out!

we hunted hard having some very close calls with some awesome birds, but no long beards would make it into 10 ga range.... i passed up this same group of jakes once already and with time winding down, and not being able to hunt the following day i decided to whack a short beard.... im good at shooting jakes..... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

They are tons of fun, gullible and humerous!!!

Here he is, i wont even tell you the stats as it isnt even worth mentioning..... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif but he is meat in the freezer!!!

and a sweet end to a sweet weekend with a great friend!
