Knoxville Nationals

Just wondering if anyone is going to make it to Knoxville this year for the Nationals. I'll be here the next four days. Should be a good time! :drink1:

I wont be there to watch the winged airplanes but I will be there to see the cheese wedges in October.

Going down tomorrow night only. Spent about 25+ years there from '78 to '05 at the Nats but not as much lately. Feel lucky to have witnessed many laps by the legendary "Big Three". I will most likely be in the pits tomorrow night.

I agree, anybody but Donny. I would be happy with:

- McCarl (not a big fan but an Iowan winning would be nice)
- S Smith (been fast in the Zemco car this yr in PA)
- Saldana (been the bridesmaid plenty of times)
- Kinser (that man is tough - respect him more each passing year)

A great event for Iowa. I am predicting that attendance will be down some due to the well-attended Nationwide event in Newton a couple weeks ago.

Let me know if I can buy you a beer at Dingus afterwards.
