anyone have a kodak playsport zx3. thinking about getting a camera to start taping some of the things i see while hunting and this seems to be a pretty nice camera for the money.

What's the working temp range for it? how does it do around gunshots?

Lee and tiffany talked about it a couple times in their seminar today at the classic.. not as an endorsement or anything but that they hear they work well

I was there to hear lee talk about it and say he was endorsing it, but I always wonder when the big wigs say stuff like that

I just got one a month ago. I took it on family vacation and it did a great job underwater while snorkeling. It only has 4x zoom. i am also planning on trying it for bowhunting, but it seems it will only be useful for close range. I usually carry a small sony and video bucks out of range to look at later. I think that camera is 20x. The kodak would def not do that. But overall the quality is pretty good for a cheap camera. The tripod seems like it will work real well on treestand bar.

I was looking at these too. But will more than likely get a Sony cam. More zoom & more memory for about the same price.

I have one and I love it!!! The only draw back is the zoom isn't great. It has a remote and that is an awesome feature for me. Video is great on a big screen and love the quality of video.

I want to get a second one also. :)

zoom and light gathering capabilities are my only complaint, but for the money its great. I used one of these all fall filming whitetail hunts by myself. Great camera and produces great footage. I'd recommend it.

Here are a few Deer hunting samples.

not to toot my own horn.... but these are prime examples of the camera you are looking at buying in action.

Good Luck!

Bumpin old thread I know................

Anyone have problems with short battery life. I might get just over an hour on a full battery.

That's typical battery life for these things. You can find batteries online that are not under the Kodak name and are about half the price. They charge up quick and you can expect about an hour of use out of them.

That's the downside of a small compact hd camera.

I have not tried the additional lenses, but have seen some work produced with them and they seem well worth the investment. I'd like to get the fisheye lenses for sure.

Where u guys find the additional lenses? I googled it and have not any luck forbid I didn't look to hard but just wanted to see what place u could get them? Thanks
