So what's everyone doing this weekend?

I'm heading to extreme NE Iowa with the kids to spend three days on the Upper Iowa river camping, canoeing, fishing and catching up with some old friends.

Nothing like a campfire and a few cold ones!

Probably go through $120 bucks in diesel fuel but it should be worth every penny.

I hear ya Ghost, going to try and spend probally the last good weekend on the river. There's a $200 fuel bill, but worth every minute of it. Can't take it with ya!

Every year we camp in Des Moines and go to Adventureland on Sunday of Labor Day weekend we've done it for over twenty years now. (The camping is alot more fun than the park to me but my cousins and nieces and nephews enjoy the park and that's all that counts)
 
I'll be at the UI football game tomorrow. Then, I plan to pull the honey supers off the bee hive and extract the honey. I also hope
to do some fishing in the farm pond with my sons.

Kind of sticking close to home.
 
Muddy should be on the road anytime now headed my way. A buddy and I are taking him on a 3 day run chasing flatheads.I just hope he can hang with us Kansas boys.

Should be a fun trip! We'll try not to corrupt him too much.

Taking the boys to the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus up at the Mark in Moline saturday. Two hour drive but it should be fun. Going to camp the rest of the weekend and take my 6 year old out squirrel hunting. "Thin out the antler eaters!!"

My family is going to get together with limb's family for some fishing and longneck killin. Looking forward to it limb!

As for me this weekend, I coach a 6th grade competitive football team and we are playing in a tournament....

My brother is coming into town tonight, we are gonna be on a three day scouting adventure. We are going to clear some trees and walk some new areas. Might drink a cold one after dark as well

I didn't know anyone else on the site had honey bees. I just got done getting everything set up to get ready for a full day of extracting tomorrow.

The only change in my weekend will be listening to the Cyclones game.

Taking an overnight trip to Owatonna for a Cabela's excursion. Going with both my boys. Sure to be a fun . . and likely, expensive, trip.
 
I forgot to mention that I would like to get the cider press out as well. Apple trees and bees seem to go togethor nicely. Most likely make some home made applesauce and a few pies, time permitting.

Two words : Dove Hunting!!!!! Going to Mizzouri Sat. Morning to shoot doves and fish farm ponds with my oldest son and brother-in-law.
