Lake Mille Lacs.....Round 1

Critter

Life Member
Myself, my father, and two brother-in-laws spent a few days up on Mille Lacs Lake north of the twin cities this past week. The rain came down and the wind blew, but it was worth it in the end. Tomorrow I'm heading back up with the wife and littlin's. Hopefully we'll have better weather, otherwise I forsee a-lot of time spent in the cabin.

Great looking mess of eyes ! What is the slot limit this year? Isn't that lake fun when the wind blows?

Isn't that where Al Linder cut his teeth on walleye fishing?? Great bucket of fish, looks like some good eating.

Slot limit on Mille Lacs is anything 20" and over swims... with one "trophy" fish over 28" if need be with only 4 fish in possession... I was up there on Saturday and caught quite a few nice fish, beautiful day on the lake even with 800 other boats around!

Wow!!!!!!!! 800 boats!!!!! What a nightmare that must be at the loading docks. I feel crowded up at the lake if I see 10 trailers in the parking lot and real crowded if I see another boat within a mile. Thank you Saskatchewan!!

On another note, the slot limit is a great idea, wish our gov't was smart enough to impose one on more lakes than one or two.
