Landowner Registration

What I meant is that I already spent $27 on an antlerless county specific tag that I think I would have only have had to pay $12 for. (Since the only place I hunt is my own farm.)

At any rate... we're heading down south here in an hour for one last try today and tomorrow.

Actually, you would only have had to pay $2 for each of the first two antlerless LOT tags.

Heck, I have 4 doe tags and none of them are LOT tags. I like to be able to take one wherever I am, and a couple landowners will probably appreciate it anyway. If I fill all those I might go pick up a couple $2 tags for something to do.

I spoke to that same DNR employee last night and he said 97.000 LOT tags sold last year total. He was going off of memory though. I have a hard time believing the average legitimate landowner buys much more than 1 LOT tag. People who buy land specifically for hunting would obviously be inclined to buy more, but I'd be surprised if the average # of LOT tags per landowner was much over about 1.5 each, statewide. So if there is roughly 40,000 legitimate landowners, and each bought even 2 LOT tags that only accounts for 80,000 tags. Using the 97,000 number quoted to me, that means 17,000 illegal LOT tags last year.
Of course thats all just a bunch of if's and supposing on my part.
