The Appanoose County Conservation Board and Dave Whittlesey Regional Iowa Biologist for the National Wild Turkey Federation are sponsoring a Landowner Wildlife Habitat Workshop on January 23rd 2010 at the Appanoose County Conservation Board Nature Center at Sharon Bluffs State Park......about 2 miles east of Centerville on Hwy. 2, then south about 2 more miles, there is a sign on Hwy. 2.
From 9-noon the topic will be forestry/whitetails with presentations by Tom Litchfield, IDNR Deer Biologist, Duane Bedford, IDNR District Forester, and yours truely...gosh what in the world will I talk about...
There will be a panel discussion with all speakers from 11:30-noon. Gregg Pattison, US Fish & Wildlife Biologist may join the panel as well.
In the afternon the topics will be on upland/quail habitat but I'm unsure who the speakers are for that portion.
If you have more questions contact Dave Whittlesey at dwhittle@iowatelecom.net or (641) 342-2500 (office), (641) 414-2165 (mobile)
