I'm starting off Sunday Morning, Saturday sounds like a crap day weather wise, plus I really want to make it up to Old Buck's place......never been there before.
Didn't you hear that heavy pre-rut activity won't start until Monday when I can get out there?
We are continuing to work on making the gallery a really neat place to stop if you are a whitetail nut,
maybe I should say 'whitetail fanatic'. It sounds less anatomical.
We just got a shipment of sculptures and carvings and put them out at mid-day. Many are by an old friend, [censored] Idol. You've probably seen his monster bronzes in front of Cabela's stores. These are much smaller and much less expensive.
The latest addition... Rick Whitaker stopped by at the end of the show tonight (Friday) and delivered the mount of the Lane/Zach Colorado, high country mulie! It looks great and will be on display for the rest of the open house. You are going to love it. Onecam already stopped by and gave it a thumbs up. Note that after the open house I'll drop if back off at Rick's for observation during final drying. Rick is very particular and wants to make sure everything stays exactly in place.
When it is completely dry it will come back to the gallery and assume a place of honor.
This is wierd! I keep putting Mr. Idol's first name which spelled backwards is 'kciD' and it keep posting as (censored). This is taking censoring a little too far. Wait until I tell 'kciD' about this! I can't even type his name!
Good seeing critrgiter, ironwood, supertec, muddy and all the other Iowa Whitetailers that have made it so far. Remember, only one more day until prerut starts!
Had a great time at the open house Old Buck. I went there with the mindset that I wouldn't be able to afford anything, but was really suprised at how affordable a-lot of items were. Can't wait to get my purchase on the wall!!
CRITR
Hey CRITR, it was good to talk to you and I'm glad you found something you liked and that fit your situation. We work hard to provide high quality products at a very affordable price and make it a point to have a wide range of art to meet everyones needs and pocketbook.
Once again I want to thank everyone who made time to stop by on a busy weekend, especially with pheasant opener and such a gorgeous Sunday.
I've also got to say that it is heartwarming to talk to so many great folks who value wildlife and the outdoors experience and dedicate so much valuable time, energy and hard earned dollars to a variety of conservation causes. Keep putting on and attending those banquets that support the habitat that supports the wildlife.
